Let’s lift our spirits, usher in Spring AND occupy our children with a creative challenge this Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Week (Sunday 5th April to Saturday 11th April)!

Let’s share beautiful images of tulips across social media to lift the spirits of patients with this degenerative disease, as well as all those amazing healthcare workers and everyone self-isolating.

And a special challenge for children:

Even though we can’t visit the beautiful tulip displays around the country this year, our little artists can paint, draw or make tulips and we can share them across social media.

The pictures will put a smile on the faces of patients with Parkinson’s Disease (symbolised by the tulip), everyone that is #stayingathome and, very importantly, the healthcare workers and scientists that are caring for us during this health crisis.

Share your children’s beautiful creations by Saturday 11th April – World Parkinson’s Disease Day – and the Demoucelle Parkinson Charity will select the best in each age category (5 to 7 years old; 8 to 10 years old; and 11 to 12 years old) to receive a wonderful at-home art kit by Belgian small enterprise Art&Fun. Just remember to include the hashtags #tulipsforhope and #teambeatparkinsons in your post so that we can see it!

(NOTE: The prize will be sent for free to any winner that is in Belgium. Winners selected outside of Belgium will need to pay the cost of shipping.)
